Tullamarine is just north of Airport West, and most people know it for the airport. For us it is a mix of established family homes from the 1960s and 1970s and a huge number of businesses: hotels, car rental yards, logistics depots and light industry along Melrose Drive and the freeway.
The residential streets have the usual needs of homes that age: original switchboards, tired lighting, and rooms that were never designed for the number of appliances we use now. Many owners are adding split systems, ceiling fans and EV chargers as the homes change hands and get renovated.
